Country singer LeAnn Rimes is in Nashville promoting her new album which comes out in early June.
On Thursday evening, Nashville's News 2 sat down with Rimes, who co-wrote nine songs on the album"Spitfire."
The country crooner, who found success as a teenager, said "Spitfire" is her most personal album yet.
"It's definitely a piece of my life through music, an emotional roller coaster of sorts, since that's what I've been on for the last few years. But I think every human emotion, on this record, we tackled," she said.
Rimes continued, "There's just a humanity through this that just came out of life for me. Life happened and this album came out of it all."
Rimes is scheduled to perform at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night.
