Grab your boots and chaps. It's rodeo time in Williamson County.

The 64th annual Franklin Rodeo kicks off Thursday with bull riding, steer roping, trick riding and more.

It is the largest rodeo in the state and has provided more than $2 million to local charities.

"It's something everyone looks forward to, it's a tradition in Franklin and Middle Tennessee to rodeo. It's a family night, it's a great date night," said Ruth Nicholaus, publicist for the Franklin Rodeo.

"We're ready to rodeo!"

"This is my first year here and I'm just thrilled to be here," said Gena Cox

"It's a big deal."

The Franklin Rodeo continues through Saturday night at the Williamson County AgExpo Center at 4215 Long Lane in Franklin.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $10 for kids ages 6 to 12.
