NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A fire at a Hermitage apartment complex late Sunday is being investigated as arson.
Emergency crews responded to the fire just before 11 p.m. at the Green Leaf Apartments, in the 5600 block of Old Hickory Boulevard, near Tulip Grove Road.
Police told Nashville's News 2 at the same time of the fire, they were called to the apartment in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officials said 25-year-old Krista Revels claimed her boyfriend assaulted her.
When officers got there, they said Revels was extremely intoxicated and first said she and her boyfriend got into an argument then he pushed her down. She said after that she ran outside and realized the apartment was on fire.
Police said she then changed her story and said they were smoking a blunt and dropped it, setting the bedroom on fire.
Her boyfriend said Revels became angry after an argument and then intentionally set the bed sheets on fire.
One other apartment received smoke damage and two others received water damage.
Officials told Nashville's News 2 the people living in those apartments have been moved to different apartments in the complex.
No one was injured.
Revels was arrested and charged with aggravated arson. Her boyfriend was arrested for domestic assault, but he was later released without any charges.
