NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Monday morning Temperatures started down in the mid-30s in some of the coldest communities.

Nashville tied its record low of 41 degrees at 4 a.m. and it could drop another couple of degrees through 7 a.m.

Ample sun will push temperatures through the 50s and into the 60s by late morning. Afternoon highs will reach the 70 degree mark in many spots along and west of Interstate 65.

Lows Monday night won't be as cold but will be around 50 degrees.

A substantial warm-up is in the works Tuesday and through the weekend. Highs are forecasted in the low-to-mid 80s Tuesday and Wednesday.

A few scattered thundershowers are possible Thursday and through the weekend, but the precipitation chances will only be between 20 and 30 percent.
