Emergency crews are looking for a man who went missing on Percy Priest Lake Saturday evening.
The man went missing just before 7 p.m. near the Anderson Recreational Center.
Police suspended their search Saturday night after dark and resumed Sunday afternoon about 1 p.m.
"The witnesses on the boat gave us a general description of where they were, which defines our search area," said Capt. David Cain of the Davidson Co. Office of Emergency Management.
Nashville's News 2 had the only camera on the scene as crews hit the water Sunday.
The 55-year old man was swimming with friends off of a pontoon boat when he went underwater and never resurfaced.
Officials told Nashville's News 2 the man lives in Hermitage, but his identity has not been released.
The TWRA is working to locate family members of the victim.
Emergency officials are urging people to always follow boating safety rules.
"I carry my life jacket with me. I feel like I'm an excellent swimmer, but I never take a chance. Everybody needs to have a life jacket on," said Cain.
The TWRA said a blood sample was taken from the driver of the boat, but no charges have been filed.
