Man killed after crashing into electrical poles

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police have identified the man that was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

The driver was identified as Benjamin Hall, 26, of Fairview.

Hall was driving his 2006 Ford Ranger just before 3 a.m. Gallatin Pike when, for unknown reasons, he traveled off the right side of the road, vaulted over a driveway and then struck two electric poles.

Hall was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

Police found no physical evidence of alcohol or drug use.

Several electrical and cable lines were reported down due to the accident.

Nashville Electric Service responded to shut off the electricity during repairs.
