SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. -

Students reported finding a potential threat against Beech High School on Tuesday.

They reported that it was written on a bathroom wall.

Officials with Sumner County Schools said that a thorough investigation, including interviews with students and a search of the campus, has led to the conclusion that the threat is not credible.

The Sumner County Sheriff's Department said that "out of an abundance of caution", there will be an increased police presence at Beech High School on Wednesday.

A statement released Tuesday night read, "Sumner County Schools and the Sumner County Sheriff's Department take incidents like this extremely seriously. We are making every possible effort to ensure the safety of our students at Beech High School."
