Man crashes into home after running stop sign

A man faces charges of driving under the influence after running a stop sign and crashing into a home on Friday.

Matthew Shaw, 30, allegedly ran a stop sign and crashed his 2004 Range Rover into the front of a home in the 3000 block of Country Way Road.

Police reported that Shaw performed poorly on field sobriety tasks and refused to submit to a blood test.

Police said that those items are commonly linked to heroin use.

Shaw was not injured.

No was inside the home at the time of impact.

Shaw faces charges of DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
