Metro police, FBI search for bank robbery suspect

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Violent Crimes Task Force are working to identify a man who robbed a bank Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 1:22 p.m. at the US Bank's branch located on McGavock Pike.

The robber approached the teller and said, "This is a robbery! Give me the money!"

No weapon was threatened or visible.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 30s or early 40s. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket and a blue toboggan hat.

He fled the parking lot in a white four-door sedan.

Anyone who recognized this man from the surveillance photos is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
