2 injured in shooting outside Melrose Billiards

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are investigating after two people were injured in a shooting in the Berry Hill area early Wednesday morning.

The shooting occurred just after 12 a.m., Midnight in the parking lot of Melrose Billiards, in the 2600 block of Franklin Pike.

Metro and Berry Hill police both responded to a shots fired call.

Police told Nashville's News 2 three people were arguing in the parking lot when one man pulled out a small caliber handgun and fired shots at the other two.

A 28-year-old man was hit in the hip and a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg.

The victims drove themselves to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Their injuries are non-life threatening.

The suspect fled the scene. Police did not immediately have a suspect description and are processing the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

No further details were immediately released.
