NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The story of Nashville hits the big screen, chronicling more than a century of music history.

The 46 minute documentary spans 130 years of Nashville music from the Fisk Jubilee Singers to the Kings of Leon.

"For the Love of Music: The Story of Nashville" is produced by the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corporation and includes 29 interviews conducted over the past year.

Legends like Kris Kristofferson and Charlie Daniels participated and allowed the film to use their music at no cost.

"It's real. It's deep-seeded and authentic in all its glory," said Butch Spyridon, CEO and President of the Nashville Convention & Visitor's Corporation as well as the executive producer of the film.

Spyridon noticed a few teary eyes when he showed the film to his staff for the first time on Monday.

"Happy tears," he was quick to add.

The movie premieres at Regal Green Hills 16 Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The screening is not open to the public, but Spyridon plans to submit it to several film festivals and eventually release it for television.
