All lanes of Interstate 24 have reopened following a multiple vehicle accident Monday morning.
The accident, involving two trucks and two cars, was reported just after 9:30 a.m. just past the Haywood Lane exit at mile marker 57.
Initially all westbound lanes were closed immediately following the crash and motorists were diverted off the interstate at Haywood Lane.
Metro police reported one of the trucks involved in the accident caught on fire. Authorities said no hazardous materials were involved. Eastbound traffic was not affected. No serious injuries were reported. The cause of the accident was not immediately known. Refresh this page for updates.
