Frosty Start, But Warm Up Ahead; Any Storms This Week?

Check out the frost this morning on Jeni Henson's car in Pulaski.  It's Dogwood Winter.

However, enjoy the warm up this afternoon to the low to mid 60s.  After a cool night tonight (scattered frost still possible in eastern Middle TN), we should see upper 60s on Sunday and 70s Monday & Tuesday.

A front cools us down on Wednesday, so what are the chances for severe weather in the transition?

Much like the last two situations which did not turn out severe overall (there were a few isolated spots), the next round of storms will come during the overnight through morning hours when there is the least heating, and hence least instability.

There will be some "modest" shear, but overall I don't think this will be a big severe weather situation.  Last Thursday night there was actually some pretty good shear, but low instability seems to have saved us.

However, it's too early really say, and this time of the year, severe weather is easy to come by, so we'll keep you posted.
