EVANSVILLE, Ind. -

Austin Peay's baseball game scheduled at the University of Evansville Tuesday was postponed due to a security threat at Braun Stadium.

The Purple Aces and Governors were slated to play Tuesday night in Evansville.

The following statement was issued by Dana Clayton, UE's Vice president of Student Affairs/Dean of Students:

"The UE Athletics Twitter account received a nondescript threat today that is currently under investigation by the Evansville Police Department. The University of Evansville has canceled tonight's scheduled baseball game at Braun Stadium. In light of yesterday's tragic events in Boston, we are taking this extraordinary measure as our first priority is the safety and security of our students and guests. We will continue to work with the EPD to evaluate the situation."

The teams are scheduled to play next on Wednesday, April 24th, in Clarksville, Tennessee.
