NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

He doesn't wear skates or pads, but a valuable member of the Nashville Predators is sure to have the crowd on their feet Monday night at the Bridgestone Arena.

Dennis K. Morgan has sung the National Anthem at every home Predators' game for more than a decade.

"I just love hockey. Anytime you can combine hockey and singing, it's been a great day," Morgan said.

Morgan told Nashville's News 2 he initially got his start singing the National Anthem when he sent a cassette tape to the Dallas Stars.

He began performing for the Preds when he moved to the Nashville area 12 years ago.

"I'll be 50 [years-old] this year. I don't know if they [will] stop wanting old guys doing it or not, but I don't see an end. It's up to them," Morgan said.

Morgan added he has had many memorable moments while singing at each of the homes game.

"It's a great patriotic moment like when my [microphone] failed and the crowd sang with me. That was a wonderful time," he recalled.

The Nashville Predators are scheduled to play the Vancouver Canucks Monday night at the Bridgestone Arena.

The puck drops at 7 p.m.
