NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Music legend Emmylou Harris is passionate about animals.

Harris founded the animal rescue group, ‘Bonaparte's Retreat' and participated in sponsoring a concert event Saturday along with Crossroads Campus, another animal rescue group.

The event was held to sponsor the Nashville stop of Tour for Life which is a mobile pet adoption service.

Adoptable animals were there from Metro Animal Care and Control, Bonaparte's Retreat, Crossroads Pets, Noah's Ark Society and many more.

The event started at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Pets on Monroe Street.

The concert included artists such as Treble Hook Trio, The Carter Brothers and Emmylou Harris with Rodney Crowell

Harris was delighted with particpatants and attendees support in the event. She hopes that Nashville will one day be a no-kill animal city.
