11AM Thursday:  Since it will take a little heating and an upper level impulse to move in from our southwest, The Storm Prediction Center is drawing its "Slight Risk" from Nashville south and eastward.

Storms will be moving through the Metro area during the 11:30am-noon time period that could have 40-50 mph gusts and 1/2" hail.

After that goes by Nashville will cool into the 60s (by 1pm) and the threat will be east and south of Nashville.

As you can see from the graphics below, there will be more heating to work with to the east and south as that upper level impulse moves in.

It is likely that there will be watches and eventually warnings later today for areas east and south of Nashville.
