Former principal convicted of sexual battery sentenced in court

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A former Metro principal at John F. Kennedy Middle in Antioch was convicted of sexual battery has been sentenced for his crimes.

Ronald Anderson will serve three months in jail and be put on probation for 12 years following a sentencing hearing Wednesday in Davidson County Criminal Court.

Anderson was found guilty in January on four counts of sexual battery by an authority figure.

In 2009, he had sexual activity with a then-minor that he mentored at the Royal Life International Church.

His victim, now an adult, testified in court that he has suffered from depression and been involved in counseling since he made contact with Anderson.

In addition to the jail time, Anderson will continue to be monitored on the sexual offender registry.
