FRANKLIN COUNTY, Tenn. -

Franklin County authorities have arrested two men in connection to the beating death of a Cowan, Tennessee man late last month.

Todd Dalton, 39, and John Lanier, 26, were charged with first degree murder and felony murder on Monday following the discovery of Corey Matthews' body in a field on March 24.

Authorities previously said the Matthews died due to extreme head trauma.

Investigators believe Dalton and Lanier, along with David Jenkins, 46, and Coty Holmes, 25, targeted the 26-year-old man due to his affiliation with a white supremacist organization.

Dalton and Lanier remained jailed in Franklin County without bond. Both are scheduled to appear in court on April 25.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Holmes or Jenkins is urged to the Franklin County Sheriff's Officer at 931-962-0123 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
