A 91-year-old Mt. Pleasant woman was arrested after she allegedly assaulted two men doing yard work with a broom and a gun. According to a report in the Daily Herald, Eleanor Boshers was taken into police custody just before Noon Saturday. Upon their arrival to her home located in the 1600 block of Highway 166 North, Boshers reported to deputies the two men bush-hogging her property were trespassing. Boshers added that she is ashamed of her behavior and that she has never been arrested. Boshers has since been released on a $10,000 bond. She told the newspaper that she and her husband have been sick recently and that she does not have a clear memory of her actions.*The Daily Herald contributed to this report.
