NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A woman motorcyclist has died from her injuries following a crash involving another vehicle late Sunday night.

Authorities responded to the incident around 11:15 p.m. along Dickerson Pike off of West Trinity Lane.

Officials told Nashville's News 2 Jennifer Mosey was traveling southbound on Dickerson Pike when a 2002 Cadillac Escalade, traveling in the opposite direction, turned left, crossing the path of the 2005 Harley Davidson. The bike hit the passenger-side front fender.

The 55-year-old motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening conditions. She died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

No alcohol or drugs were suspected in the incident.

Investigators say the likely cause of the crash is failure to yield on behalf of the driver of the Cadillac.

Charges against the driver are possible, pending the conclusion of the investigation.

No further details were immediately released. The Fatal Team was called in to assist in the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
