2nd Annual Celebrity Carwash held to benefit leukemia and lymphoma society
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
News 2's Neil Orne washed cars for the 2nd Annual Celebrity Carwash that benefits the leukemia and lymphoma society
The carwash is organized by Valentino's Ristorante on West End Avenue.
Mrs. Tennessee, Marlena Bohanon was there along with several country music artists such as Stephen Cochran and Ryan Weaver.
Jason Conner, General Manager at Valentino's said "all the volunteers are friends and families of ours along with the local celebrities. So we just called everybody we know and said hey we need your support out here whether you run the donation stand or washing cars, it's all for the same cause."
Neil said a lot of people came in with clean cars because they just wanted to support the organization.
"I'm holding signs all day today so I pawned it off on Neil that I don't have to wash cars," said Miss Nashville, Jill Brooks.
Several other businesses volunteered employees as well.
The group hopes to surpass last year's total of raising nearly $2,500 dollars.
