MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

This weekend close to 2,000 female soccer players will descend on Murfreesboro soccer fields.

Murfreesboro is one of the top ten soccer cities in the entire country.

The ‘Spring Bash in the Boro' is a girls only tournament and brings hundreds of people to Middle Tennessee.

"The girls enjoy playing someone they never played before it gets more exciting for them. It is important for their body and minds," said proud soccer mom Kelly Smagacz.

Players come from five states across the Southeast and Midwest and range in age between eight and 18 years-old.

With family members and friends the bash is so big it books more than 500 hotel rooms a night.

The ‘Spring Bash in the Boro' continues through Sunday at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex.

The ‘Bash in the Boro' event will happen again in the fall and will be a boys only tournament.
