Robertson County schools accepted the voluntary resignation of a Springfield teacher earlier this week after she reported inappropriate behavior with a student.
Jamie Webster, a third year English and Language Arts teacher at Springfield Middle School, initiated contact with school officials on March 11.
During the meeting Webster provided information concerning interaction between herself and a student involving electronic communication and personal behavior that was in violation of policy.
Webster was immediately placed on a paid leave during internal and police investigations.
School officials reported that Webster voluntarily chose to terminate her employment with an unsolicited resignation on Tuesday.
She has since moved out of state and her position has been filled.
