Teen dies from injuries sustained in shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A 17-year-old died in a shooting that occurred near downtown Nashville Friday afternoon.

Mi-Twan Johnson was injured and transported to Metro General Hospital where he died a short time later.

Witnesses reported that four or five people inside a four door gold Chevrolet Malibu pulled up to a group of young men standing outside an apartment building in the 1600 block of Herman Street and fired shots.
A second victim, identified as 23-year-old Jeremiah Peterkin, was also injured in the shooting. He was taken to Baptist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
