Elton John lyricist Bernie Taupin opens art exhibit in Nashville

Longtime Elton John collaborator Bernie Taupin has touched the hearts of music fans across the world through songs such as "Your Song," "Candle in the Wind" and "We Built this City, but his talent extends beyond his words.

"Beyond Words: An Exhibition Of Contemporary & Extraordinary Artworks By Famed Lyricist & Artist Bernie Taupin" is making the rounds at select art galleries, with a stop at Nashville's Rymer Gallery.

The Rymer Gallery is filled with what he claims is a retrospective, encompassing 25 years of his creativity.

"It's an assembly of colors and feelings. There doesn't necessarily have to be a particular reason you're doing it. It's just a feeling," Taupin told Nashville's News 2.

The exhibit runs through April 7, with Taupin appearing Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
