Convicted killer sentenced, set to stand trial for another death

A young Nashville man will serve life in prison after being convicted Thursday in a strangulation death.

Jose Hall was found guilty in the murder of 21-year-old Jeremy Green.

Green was found dead by his girlfriend in his apartment on Murfreesboro Pike on January 29, 2011.

He had been struck on the head and died of asphyxiation.

Testimonies during the trial indicated that Hall rushed Green inside the apartment and choked him so he could steal his electronics.

He was later caught trying to pawn items that belonged to Green.

Two other co-defendants who were there the night of the murder also have pending charges.

It took the jury less than two hours to convict Hall of first degree premeditated murder, felony murder and especially aggravated robbery.

The murder conviction carries a life sentence with a minimum of at least 51 years.

Hall is also charged with the death of his ex-girlfriend in March 2011.

Kendrya Davis, 18-years-old, died due to multiple gunshot and stab wounds, as well as blunt force trauma.

A trial date for that case has not yet been set.
