A Mt. Juliet mother is featured in Walmart's new "See for Yourself" ad campaign that shows off the retailer's everyday prices. Jennifer Williams, a working mother, told Nashville's News 2 she jumped at the unique opportunity to star in her own commercial for the retail giant. "They picked me to do the commercial, lucky for me," she said. Williams said she was discovered one day while she was at work in Providence Marketplace."A lady came in saying she was from L.A. just interviewing mothers in the neighborhood, just asking about their regular shopping habits," Williams recalled. A month later, Williams learned she was selected to be in the commercial that was shot in Lebanon. "[It was] super fun. I got to see behind the scenes to see how they do a commercial, but it is also fun going shopping on someone else's dime," she said. Williams told Nashville's News 2 she made her own shopping list for the commercial. Walmart in turn then paid for all the items she purchased from a competitor and then showed her how much she would save on identical items at the discount store. "I think I ended up saving eight percent total out of everything," Williams said, adding as a working mother she is always looking to for ways to save money. Williams was not paid to appear in the commercial, but she was able to keep the items she purchased and received a gift card for the amount of her bill which was just over $240.
