Bail bondsman arrested for conspiracy to commit theft
Terry Conn, 48
SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. -
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a Robertson County bail bondsman on Monday night for conspiring to steal from an area Walmart.
Terry Conn was indicted by the Robertson County grand jury last month on one count of conspiracy to commit theft of property.
During their investigation against the 48-year-old Springfield man, authorities determined Conn, who works for Freebird Bonding, was seen on surveillance video loading a shopping cart in Walmart and walking away from it.
A second individual, who has since been arrested for theft, then walked the shopping cart outside the retailer and loaded the merchandise into a truck.
Conn and the other man then exchanged the merchandise in a parking lot being Freebird Bonding.
Additional video also showed Conn attempting to previously commit the same crime.
Conn was arrested and booked into the Robertson County jail. He has since been released on a $5,000 bond.
