A single car crash turned fatal on Interstate-65 Sunday morning.
Officials said the man involved in the crash has been identified as Stan Garland, 58, of Franklin.
Garland was driving a 2004 Kia sedan north on I-65 when the vehicle traveled off the interstate shortly after 6 a.m. and struck a concrete median.
Police said the Kia then re-entered the roadway, crossed all lanes of traffic and struck a rock bluff.
Garland, who was wearing his seat belt, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
There was no evidence of alcohol use at the scene.
