Scattered showers are expected throughout Middle Tennessee over the upcoming Easter weekend.

Rain first pushed into the area on Friday morning. Showers are forecasted to linger throughout the day.

Friday's high temperature will reach the upper 50s with rain chances diminishing late this afternoon and through the evening hours.

Saturday morning will start out in 40s before reaching the mid-60s. The chance of rain and thunderstorms are expected to increase Saturday afternoon into the evening. Severe weather is not expected.

The heaviest rain should diminish by Sunday morning, but lingering showers are a possibility on Easter morning through the early afternoon.
