NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Nashville man was severely beaten after refusing to buy Sudafed for two men.

The incident happened in a church parking lot on McFerrin Avenue in east Nashville in early March.

According to records, Lucas McClure refused to buy the two suspects, identified as Justin Ray and Thomas Greer packages of Sudafed at a nearby Walgreens. McClure then went inside the store and told the manager what had happened.

The suspects later saw McClure walking along McFerrin Avenue and attacked him, knocking him unconscious and bruising most of his body.

Police arrested Ray and Greer two days later following review of surveillance footage.

McClure is still recovering from the beating.
