NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. -

Nolensville released their police chief of the last seven years on Wednesday.

Mayor Jimmy Alexander confirmed that Paul Rigsby and another officer, Troy Buckley, were no longer town employees.

Mayor Alexander said that it was a termination without cause because they wanted a change of personnel.

Nolensville has launched a job search to fill the position of police chief.

Mayor Alexander said that the search will take time because they want to find the appropriate person.

In the mean time, police officer David Hazlett will serve as interim police chief.

According to Nolensville's city Web site, Rigsby's leadership over the last seven years has helped the police department become a full-coverage department instead of part-time.
