NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Officials have charged a man with Arson following a Tuesday morning fire at a home in Donelson.

The fire happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Dunmore Drive, not far from Donelson and Elm Hill pikes.

Daniel Wise was arrested following Tuesday's fire. Officials told Nashville's News 2 Wise is an ex-boyfriend of the homeowner.

According to authorities, a 60-year-old woman and her 25-year-old son were home at the time.

The fire started in an attached garage, and quickly spread to the house.

Both the woman and her son managed to get out unharmed.

Firefighter Joshua King, 30, was injured after a beam fell on him. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated for injuries to his shoulder. He is reportedly doing fine.

The Red Cross stepped in to assist the family.

The investigation is ongoing.

Wise is expected to appear in court next week.
