Murder victim's family increases reward for information

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The family of a south Nashville murder victim has increased the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Dalia Gutierrez-Sanchez was approached by a gunman around 4:30 a.m. outside of her apartment building on August 24.

During an altercation with the suspect, she was fatally wounded.

The suspect took Gutierrez-Sanchez's purse then fled the apartment on foot.

He was last seen on Wallace Road.

Authorities have reported that the suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s. He has unkempt hair that he wears over to one side.

He is around five feet, eight inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. At the time of the murder he was wearing blue jeans and a blue-green hooded sweatshirt.

Gutierrez-Sanchez's family urges anyone with information about the suspect to step forward by calling Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

The family is offering a reward of $25,000, which will be given in addition to up to $1,000 offered by Crime Stoppers.

The $25,000 reward is effective for 30 days past March 19.
