SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. -
A threat evacuated Bedford County's Town Square late Wednesday morning for a short time while authorities investigated.
Bedford County Sheriff Randall Boyce told Nashville's News 2 they received a phone call around 9:45 a.m. that a device would go off around 10 a.m. in the downtown square.
Authorities evacuated the area as a precaution. Bomb sniffing dogs also assisted in the investigation.
The area is now clear. Evacuees have since returned to their buildings.
The Bedford County courthouse was evacuated last November after a threat was called in.
No additional information was released.
