PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. -
A section of Highway 84 in Putnam County will close on Tuesday at Noon for rockslide repair work.
Crews will work to clear debris from a rockslide that occurred around 5:40 p.m. Monday just outside of Monterey.
Closures and detours will be set up at SR-284 in Overton County and on SR-84 in Putnam County near the top of the hill in Monterey. During the closure residents who live on the closed portion of the roadway will be allowed access to their homes.
The closure is expected to remain in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday. Work is scheduled to resume Wednesday morning at 7 a.m.
