Plane headed to Nashville diverted to Ky. due to mechnical issues

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A United Airlines flight headed to Nashville Monday morning was diverted to Lexington, Kentucky due to mechanical issues.

Flight number 4547 was scheduled to land in Nashville at 11:41 a.m., however the flight has since been canceled.

Airport spokesperson Shannon Sumrall told Nashville's News 2 she did not know the extent of the mechanical issues.

No additional information was immediately released.
