Utility worker spots Brentwood house fire, calls 911

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -

A utility worker is credited for spotting a house fire in Brentwood Wednesday afternoon and calling 911.

The blaze was reported on Meadowlark Lane in the Country Club Estates subdivision around 1 p.m.

Upon their arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and had to force entry into the ranch style home.

No one was inside the home at the time.

Franklin fire units assisted in the fire.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
