MT. JULIET, Tenn. -
A 49-year-old Wilson County man was taken into custody after authorities discovered a meth lab in his Mt. Juliet barn late Wednesday morning.
TBI spokesperson Kristen Helm told Nashville's News 2 a search warrant was served at 11 Cooks Road around 11 a.m. as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
While serving the warrant, a meth lab was discovered in a large red barn on the property, as well as a small quantity of meth and smoking paraphernalia.
Carroll Cook Jr. is charged with initiating the process to manufacture meth and meth possession. He remains jailed in Wilson County.
Authorities said the investigation against Cook after he allegedly sold meth in Davidson County to an operative working with Metro police.
