CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Three women were charged with theft after attempting to shoplift the same store they shoplifted two days earlier.

Around 1 p.m. on March 8, police were called to a business at the 2800 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard after the store's loss prevention officer spotted two of the women.

The two women, 23-year-old Angela Cain and 51-year-old Theresa Combs, were recognized because they shoplifted there two days earlier.

Detectives in the area went to the store while nearby officers spotted a vehicle believed to be occupied by lookouts for the women inside.

As the two women inside the store came out, detectives, along with the loss prevention officer, stopped them and escorted them to the security office.

The women in the car were also asked to accompany officers inside.

As the store's loss prevention officer had suspected, Cain and Combs were shoplifting again. They were caught with stolen items amounting to $1,116.

One of the women inside the car, identified as 34-year-old Laquisha Bussell, was reported to either be involved with or have knowledge of the shoplifting.

The other woman inside the car had no knowledge of the criminal activity.

Authorities also found property inside the car which might have come from another Wilma Rudolph business.

Cain, Comes and Bussell were all booked into the Montomgery County Jail and charged with theft.

Cain and Russell's bonds were set at $5,000, while Combs had outstanding warrants for previous theft raising her bail to $6,000.

Authorities noted that even thought all three women have previous history for theft from different locations, they have not been linked to the Shoplifting ring.
