As the month progresses you may be able to catch a glimpse of the comet "Pan-STARRS" just after sunset on the western horizon. It was discovered using the Pan-STARRS telescope in Hawaii (Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System
It should be visible to the naked eye, but binoculars will help. You need a clear view of the horizon because it will be low, rising just a little above 10 degrees later this month.
