CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

An officer who rescued a woman from her burning home has been given a Lifesaver Award for his actions.

Officer Seth Paugh responded to a home on Blaine Court on February 5.

The structure was on fire and he could see the interior was consumed with smoke.

He asked a neighbor about the vehicle in the residence's driveway who confirmed it belonged to the homeowner, Jamie Inman.

Paugh then forced entry into the house and found Inman lying on the floor of the living room.

He immediately carried her out of the residence, and was instrumental in saving her life.

Officer Paugh was presented with the Lifesaver Aware on Friday by his chief, Al Ansley.
