Butch Jones introducing 'controlled chaos' to Tennessee

Posted:

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee coach Butch Jones believes his method of "controlled chaos" can help the Volunteers start wreaking havoc in the Southeastern Conference again.

Jones, who begins his first spring practice session with Tennessee on Saturday, uses the term "controlled chaos" to describe his types of workouts because he wants his team to be ready for anything.

He said he could have his team practice to the sound of a crying baby or breaking glass to prepare the Volunteers for hostile road environments.

The Vols have plenty of holes to fill after going 5-7 last year for their third straight losing season, the first time that's happened at Tennessee since 1909-11.

For the moment, though, Jones is more concerned with making sure the Vols develop a winning attitude and establish team chemistry.
