NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The longest win streak in the Southeastern Conference is over and over in a big way.

The Florida Gators whipped the Vanderbilt Commodores 66-40 Wednesday night in Gainesville clinching the SEC's regular season championship.

It's the fourth time the Gators (24-5,14-3) have won the title and third time they've done it under Billy Donovan.

The Gators earned the number one seed in the SEC Tournament next week in Nashville.  Thanks to a Texas A&M loss the Commodores are still 10th in the league and in position for a first round bye.

The game was never in doubt as the Gators opened up a 17-6 first half lead and pulled way midway thru the second half.   Kenny Boynton led Florida with 15 points.

Kedren Johnson led the Dores (13-15,7-10) with 15 points.  The Commodores had won their last three SEC games in a row.

Vanderbilt finishes the regular season Saturday against South Carolina at Memorial Gym.
