Man shot multiple times in Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

A man was shot multiple times Wednesday night in a shooting that occurred in Murfreesboro.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., officers responded to the area of University Street and Castle Street in reference to a shooting.

A male subject was shot multiple times.

He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

There is a person of interest.

No further details have been released.
