Quarterback Vince Young has sent former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher an apology letter for his behavior during his time on the team, ESPN reports.
During a recent interview with the NFL Network, Young said while he was a Titan he was "immature and not paying attention and not listening."
Young said the death of teammate and mentor Steve McNair played a role in his actions.
"I definitely wanted to apologize for the things that I did, letting him know about the frustration, a lot of different things that was going on in my life at the time, and want him to know that I really did appreciate him trying to make me become one of those type of leaders on the team, a successful quarterback," he said in the interview.
Young added that he wishes Fisher the best in future and hopes that he accepts his apology.
Young signed with the Titans in 2006. He was released from the team in 2011.
During his time as a Titan, Young threw his shoulder pads into the stands following a game and had a verbal confrontation with Fisher in the locker room, among other incidents.
