Lingering cold temperatures make way for weekend warm up

Posted:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Cold, winter temperatures are expected to linger in Middle Tennessee Wednesday as high temperatures only reach the upper 30s to the low 40s due to a gusty northwest wind.

A few remaining snowflakes may also be spotted in eastern parts of the Mid-State where several schools are closed due to about a half of an inch of snowfall overnight.

Overnight temperatures will drop to around 30 degrees.

By Thursday, temperatures will reach the upper 40s.

The warm up trend continues through the weekend where temperatures will reach the upper 60s on Saturday and 70 on Sunday.
