ERIN, Tenn. -
One person was killed and another rescued after a fire broke out at a two-story home in Erin, Tennessee early Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out at a home located on West Front Street just before 5 a.m.
Three firefighters sustained minor injuries. They have all since been treated and released from an area hospital.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, though crews believe a faulty surge protector may have played a role.
The State Fire Marshall is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
The victim's identity was not immediately released.
