47-year-old man killed in Smyrna motorcycle crash

SMYRNA, Tenn. -

A 47-year-old man was killed in a single motorcycle accident late Sunday evening.

The accident involving William Bracken occurred just after 6:30 p.m. on Sam Ridley Parkway near the Smyrna Municipal Golf Course.

Police said upon their arrival, Bracken was lying in the roadway with extensive injuries.

He was pronounced dead after being transported to Stonecrest Medical Center.

The cause of the accident remains unknown.

A toxicology test was performed. The results have yet to be released.

No additional information was released.
